APPLE MAPS:

Firstly, Apple have completely gotten rid of Google Maps and replaced it with their own version. Apples license to have the Google Maps app on iOS devices ended this year, and with google now being their competition, Apple didn't want Google Maps anymore. Apples version of Maps doesn't have the street view option as Google Maps does, but it does have a really cool feature called Fly Over. This is where you can fly over selected cities in the US such as New York, and get a 3D view of all the skyscrapers, streets and other buildings.

SIRI UPDATES:

Siri is now avaliable on the third and Fourth Generation iPad, and 5th Generation iPod Touch on iOS 6. Siri now can tell you about game scores, she launches apps, updates Facebook and Twitter statuses, and makes dinner reservations!

FACEBOOK INTERGRATION:

Facebook is intergrated into the slide down notification bar, so you can simply swipe down the notification bar and make a status.

Passbook is on iPhones and iPod Touches upgraded to iOS 6. Passbook is a way to keep all of your passes such as movie tickets or dinner vouchers all in one place. Each voucher has a barcode and you simply scan the barcode on the scanner and your balance gets reduced. Also tickets are live, so if you have a plane ticket, it will give you a notification if your flights time has been changed or cancelled.

FACETIME UPDATE:

FaceTime can now be done over cellular networks.

PHONE UPDATES:

When you can't get to a call you can send a text back, or set a call-back reminder. Also when you don't want any notifications distracting you, you can simply turn on Do Not Disturb in settings. Which basically means when you get a notification it doesn't make a sound.

MAIL UPDATES:

It's even easier to write and read mail, and there is a VIP folder so you can flag those special contacts. It's now even simpler to add photos and videos to your emails, and all you have to do to refresh your inbox is simply swipe down!

Since 1998 when Apple made their first iMac, they have gotten simpler, thinner and overall much better!

Apple has already sold out of white iPad Mini's in 17 minutes after they were launched at midnight!

Apple annouced their latest model of iMac which comes in 21.5-inches and 27-inches. The new iMac is the thinnest Apple has ever made, the edge is only 5 millimeters which is 80% thinner, and is 8 pounds lighter than the previous model! The new iMac also uses the new Fusion Drive, which combines 128GB Flash Memory drive with a standard hard drive which is either 1TB or 3TB in size. For the first time in any Mac they used friction stir welding, and this is how Phil Schiller explained it: "The molecules merge together between the two components to make one piece that is super strong and seamless. " the two pieces merged were the stand for the iMac and the display. "The display is fully laminated so the words look like they're sitting on top of the glass and it improves the optical quality." Said Phil Schiller.
